Bought our Townie 7d's in December of 2016. These were to be in addition to our Trek Shift 1 bicycles. As of May 3 2017, they've now replaced the Treks. Light weight, sturdy, easy shifting, and down right fun to ride. I was alittle leary when i first started looking, took one for a ride several times, and was hooked. Bikeline of Dover hooked us up with 2 nice looking rides. A ladies Orange pearl and my mens Matte Juniper. Bottom line, we love them. Im in the hunt for another very shortly.

Been riding drop handlebar bikes for exercise for the last 30 years. Always felt some sort of discomfort in my back, arms, or neck but just learned to live with it. I finally decided to get something that was fun to ride. Something that would let me see my surroundings. The Townie is IT. Where has this been all my life haha. I absolutely love it. My daily rides are 12 mile loops with an occasional 25 miler. This bike handles it with ease and comfort. Yes you will be affected by wind in your face. But who cares? I'm not racing, I'm riding for exercise, 12 miles per hour or so. Your legs will hurt a little that first week because of the riding position. You're using more legs and less butt. This bike brings back the joy of riding I had as a kid in the 60's and 70's. If you're on the fence, give it a try.

      Comments:

It's been twenty years since I've gotten on a bike. One day I had a wild hair and went to my local bike shop, and they put me on a Townie. It was love at first ride. I used to ride an old ten speed in my teens and 20's. That was a good bike and I used it for a very long time until I upgraded to a car. Now I want to get back into riding again. This is the perfect bike to do it. My older body appreciates the extra padding on the seat and the smooth sailing. I love this bike it is worth every penny.
